Hotel Nanpuso will work towards the realization of a sustainable society through SDGs activities.

What are the SDGs?

The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are international goals adopted at the United Nations Summit in 2015, aiming to create a sustainable and better world by 2030.It consists of 17 goals and 169 targets, and pledges to "leave no one behind" on the planet.

◆Two EV chargers will be installed.We will contribute to the realization of a carbon-free society through the widespread use of EVs.
◆A buffet system for amenities is provided.By choosing only the essentials such as cotton balls, hair ties and brushes, we aim to reduce waste.
◆As we have a wide variety of customers from overseas, we are actively recruiting employees of foreign nationality.
◆To prevent passive smoking and to maintain good health, all rooms are now non-smoking.

◆By providing refills for amenities bottles, we are reducing the amount of plastic bottles used.
◆The heat sources for air conditioning and hot water were converted from heavy oil to electricity.We have reduced the amount of petroleum used, which is an important environmental resource.This also leads to a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.

◆The shops within this facility are using plastic bags that are 25% biomass plastic, with sugarcane as the main ingredient.It reduces carbon dioxide emissions compared to conventional plastic bags, contributing to achieving carbon neutrality.
◆Fresh seafood sourced from Hayakawa Fishing Port in Odawara.This is a brand of beef from Minamiashigara City, located right next to Hakone. "Soshu Beef"We also actively source seasonal ingredients and agricultural products from local areas such as Hakone and Odawara.By helping our customers learn about the wonderful local ingredients and promoting local production and consumption, we will contribute to the maintenance and development of the local economy.

By providing our guests with hot spring baths, we hope to help them maintain their physical and mental health.
◆Uses a ReFa shower head with mist mode and other features that are highly water-saving.You can use it in the rooms with open-air baths or in the large public bath.
